“The difference between astrology and astronomy is that astrology is a false science. Astrology leads to the worship of the stars,” Hagee says. “Astronomy is the study of the stars by which sailors have been crossing the ocean for centuries. It is a specific science that has great value to the planet. The bible says, God speaking, that he calls the stars by name. So there’s a difference between worshiping the stars and worshiping the god who created the stars. An entirely different thing. ”
I applaud Hagee for not trying to pinpoint the year or time when Christ will come for His people. The day and hour will be hidden, but those living during the Tribulation will have a fairly good idea when He will return in judgment for they will have a seven year time span to work within. In discussing Mark 13:32, he speaks of millions vanishing (104), which will not happen during the Tribulation.
“Daniel’s prayers so disturbed Satan and threatened his kingdom that he used the jealousy of evil men to bring about a change in the laws of the entire Persian Empire that would make Daniel’s prayers illegal. On the other hand, praying for Jerusalem meant so much to Daniel that he preferred to be cast into the lions’ den rather than give up his praying for the peace of Jerusalem.30”
As a former JW of 15 years, you are spot on Collin. The people inside are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. However, they are being deceived by the ‘Governing Body’ which cherry pick scriptures to fit their twisted teachings. Jesus was only a man and not god. Therefore they are considered an anti-Christ (notice little a) or one against Jesus.
Rabin’s death stopped the peace process and remains the source of numerous conspiracy theories and discord in Israeli society, as This American Life documented in 2015. “From the Left’s perspective, Rabin’s assassination is the moment that completely reshaped Israel’s history. It killed off the last best chance for peace between Israelis and Palestinians. And Yigal Amir has got to be one of the most successful assassins anywhere,” reporter Dan Ephron explained.
By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward. By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible. – Hebrews 11:24-27.
People come to different conclusions about celebrating Halloween, particularly if they have young children or grandchildren to consider. For some people this holiday is a time for dress-up and candy; it is an opportunity for fun. Others express concern for their child's safety or for the emphasis that is often made on violence or horror at this time of year. Those who are interested in the right or wrong of the celebration may look at the holiday's origin in the occult and believe it should not be celebrated at all; they are aware that some groups celebrate Halloween as a tribute to Satan. On the other hand, others recognize that Halloween, the eve of "All Saints' Day" (November 1), is also associated with Martin Luther and the Reformation. They celebrate the religious freedoms won at that time in history. Since each of these perspectives contain truth, it is difficult to know how to respond.
But is Bundy really the evil, cold-hearted racist he is made out to be? Notice what Bundy also said that was not reported by the Times: “[A]nd so what I’ve testified to you—I was in the Watts riot, I seen the beginning fire and I seen that last fire. What I seen is civil disturbance. People are not happy, people are thinking they don’t have their freedoms, they didn’t have these things, and they didn’t have them.
That same afternoon in 2017, Hagee described the next phase in reshaping Israel’s history: moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv. He had recently met with President Trump in the Oval Office. “Do you think the Arabs would go to war if I recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel?” Hagee recalled Trump asking him. “No sir, I think it will be exactly the opposite. I think your pronouncing that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel will make the cause of peace be advanced,” Hagee responded.
"I had read all the Bible verses in Isaiah, Joel, the Gospels, and Revelation where the text talks about the moon turning to blood and the sun to sackcloth. I began to ponder the possibilities of tying the eclipses mentioned in the Bible to the possible coming of the Messiah. Because I love science and astronomy, I decided to look into the future occurrences of eclipses. I remembered that NASA has a list of eclipses that covers 5,000 years, so I went to the website to see what interesting observations I could find. I noticed that there were four total lunar eclipses in a row in 2014 and 2015."

During ancient times in Israel, the advent of a blood moon was often considered a sign or an omen from God of coming events. This was true in many cultures throughout history, and astrologers often attempted to predict them, although with a large amount of error. However, any series of blood moons could not have been predicted, especially before the advent of modern orbital mechanics and computers, which can now anticipate the occurrence of blood moons even if they happen in various locations around the world. In fact, a series of blood moons such as a tetrad involves lunar eclipses that can only be seen at discrete locations on the Earth, and each blood moon of the tetrad never occurs at the same location twice. Therefore, only in relatively recent times could we have knowledge of blood moon tetrads and predict them regardless of where they might occur.
Their coming-out party was May 14, at the dedication of the newly relocated U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem. “Let the name of the Lord be glorified today,” the Rev. Hagee proclaimed in his benediction, facing the assembled strange bedfellows of right-wing rabbis, U.S. senators and congressmen, settlement bankroller Sheldon Adelson, Israeli Likudniks and fellow Christian Zionists. “For the defender of Israel today, tomorrow and forever, is here. Can we all shout hallelujah?”
Bought this book when I heard that John Paul Jackson and Joni Lamb both endorse it. Hagee looks at NASA findings, scriptural references and historical eyewitness accounts and finds a huge connection between the appearance of blood moons to upheavals in Jewish history and to Israel, God's time clock. The end times may just be closer than we think and that the survival of our nation depends on our support of Israel and our honoring of the Jew. I appreciate how Hagee showcased eyewitness accounts during upheavals in Jewish history like the Temple destruction in 70 AD, the Spanish Inquisition and the 6-Day War. In 2014-2015 there will be a Tetrad in the skies, a succession of four blood moons or lunar eclipses and a solar eclipse in the middle so as another Jewish upheaval is at our door and the nations around Israel are spewing hate, Hagee asks if we are ready for an imminent Rapture and the end times? The only thing I wished this book had was listing organizations that support Israel and practical ways we can prepare for the times. I highly recommend this book to every follower of Christ and every bible study group out there.
In my utterly humble and shaken opinion, what I am about to present to you is the single most ASTONISHING piece of information Tribulation-Now has ever published. Many will not grasp the significance. This is understandable. Many will “pass judgement” upon Pastor Hagee, and for that my heart is saddened. Nobody is perfect. And without utter humility many will not be found worthy to stand before the Son of Man.
Bundy is the Nevada rancher battling the Federal Bureau of Land Management (blm) to keep his cattle on public land his family has grazed since 1877. His case has raised questions about government overreach and states’ rights—or lack thereof. Is Nevada even really a state if the federal government “owns” 85 percent of the land within its borders? Bundy asks.
Few Christians would dispute that general idea, which is reflected in the very terms “Old Testament” and “New Testament.” But Dispensationalist doctrine proposes sharp divisions of human history into three, four, seven or eight dispensations. One prevalent scenario depicts seven phases: Innocence (Adam and Eve before the Fall into sin), Conscience (after Eden through Noah’s Flood), Civil (government after the Flood), Promise (the patriarch Abraham till Moses), Law (Moses the law-giver through Jesus’ crucifixion), Grace (the present era after the crucifixion), and Kingdom (the End Times and Christ’s 1,000-year reign). Dallas seminary says the Bible focuses especially on those final three.
Hagee often creates alliances with Jews who view Israel in theological, rather than political, terms. For example, he has found common cause with Rabbi Shlomo Riskin, an American who helped found the Israeli settlement of Efrat on the West Bank. Even after Hagee suggested that God permitted the Holocaust to happen in order for Jews to come back to Israel (find a detailed account here,) Riskin defended Hagee as “a true friend of Israel and the free world.”
The New King James Version is clear and relatively straight-forward, if not quite as literal a translation as the NASB. As far as NKJV Study Bibles go, thus far this is the only one that is as equally outstanding as the now out-of-print "Believer's Study Bible" which is also a real gem - in my opinion the Prophecy Study Bible & the Believer's Study Bible are both "must-buys". Well worth looking for copies of each of them.
Matthew 24:36-41 is often quoted and referred to in the Left Behind films and books as a proof text for the Rapture. The passage says ‘one shall be taken and the other left’ - and Lahaye believed this refers to the Church being snatched away into heaven. However, since Jesus links this event with the days of Noah, those taken away are actually those ‘taken away in judgment’ not those taken away to be rescued. During Noah’s flood it is said ‘they were taken away to be judged’. Those who are left are the righteous.
It’s perplexing to me why most of the conversations and debates about the end times and prophecy seem to focus on the minor issues and not the major facts God has so graciously presented. Scholars want to argue about interpretations and doctrinal perspectives of certain singular aspects on the topic. My personal preference is to focus on the overwhelming major truths that world history verifies and that the Bible has proven time and time again.
