“I also feel the end times are approaching,” said Daniels, who is best known for his No. 1 country hit “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.” “I don’t know the chronology. I don’t know when it’s going to happen, but I know it’s closer than it was. I believe that the things left to be fulfilled in the Bible could be fulfilled in a very short amount of time.”
I Thess. 4:16-18 says "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the cloud, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words."   We believe that Jesus will literally descend from heaven; there literally will be the shout of an angel and the blast of a trumpet.  The dead will literally rise first, and those who are alive at the time of Christ's return and believe in Him for their salvation will literally be caught up together with Him to meet Him in the air, "and so shall we ever be with the Lord."

There appears to be no end to the numerous countdowns and endtime signs offered by modern day prophecy preachers. Every generation since the first have had their share of these grossly mistaken prophets. Hagee must join their ranks. Please understand, this is not a personal attack on the man. I do not know him and can only address what he writes and says about Bible prophecy. He is certainly very prominent and influential, and runs one of the most well organized Christian lobbies in the country.
I think Hagee shares too much of his own opinion and interprets the Bible his own way. His timing of the recent Shemitahs doesn't rightly (or 100%) line up with all of the events in American. He is also a solid believer in the Pre-tribulational Rapture...which I am not. This discounts for me some of the stuff he writes. Toward the end of the book, I was tending toward just taking with a grain of salt everything he said. Integrity is important to keep the reader hanging on. He has too many anomalies in this thinking. Just doesn't add up.
Rabbi Marc H. Tanenbaum, national inter-religious affairs director of the American Jewish Committee, remarked that the Jewish community felt abandoned by Protestants after 1967. “There was a vacuum in public support for Israel that began to be filled by the fundamentalist and evangelical Christians,” Tanenbaum told the New York Times in 1983. That vacuum was filled by eager leaders like Hagee, who as a boy heard of Israel’s independence in 1948 over the radio in Texas. He recalled being “mesmerized” and realized that “the birth of the State of Israel confirmed the accuracy of the Bible prophecy.” As Hagee explained in a 2017 sermon, “supporting Israel is not a political issue, it’s a Bible issue.”
If you care to understand what “I” believe, you can go back and read the articles I’ve published since January.  When you have a “brown dwarf” heading straight toward earth (albeit on an elliptical path) and imminent warnings of a possible “pole shift”, you have a tendency to “rethink” things a little.  Particularly when these events were prophesied in the 2nd Book of Esdras, Chapter 15, with verse 40 mentioning the “Horrible Star” and the events in Egypt reading like a “newspaper” in prior verses.

Mr. Armstrong explained, “And now I want you to realize a most important fact, bearing on our problem, which most of you never realized before. Haven’t you supposed, along with nearly everyone else, that Jesus spoke in parables in order to make His meaning clearer—as a sort of illustration, so that people would better understand His meaning? Well, you have supposed wrong! On the contrary, believe it or not, Jesus spoke in parables to cover up, to hide the true meaning from the crowds that constantly followed Him! This knowledge puts in our hands the key that will unlock these symbols of the book of Revelation” (ibid). Study Matthew 13:1-13 to prove what Mr. Armstrong teaches here. Pay particular attention to verse 11.
And so, my brothers and sisters! Your tax dollars no longer fund a U.S. policy that at least gives lip service to a fair solution of an age-old conflict and a Palestinian state of its own. One, by the way, that would immeasurably ease tensions in the most volatile corner of the planet, help keep American soldiers out of harm’s way and reduce terror attacks on innocent citizens. Instead, we are privileging the foot soldiers in a new holy war—a war in which those of us who aren’t among the believers will end up in a lake of fire.

“America stands at the crossroads. Our destiny as a nation hangs in the balance. America’s hope for survival is the anointed preaching of the gospel with such force that the chains of drug addiction, AIDS, Satanism, homosexuality, pornography, divorce and drunkenness are broken” explained Dr. Hagee. He believes that the most effective way to reach America and the world is through the most powerful communications weapon ever known to man … television.
